hmm.. it’s been wat 3-4 months since my last post.. jst few days after my Mumbai Marathon. It has been downhill after dat. Took time off and after 3 weeks or so, did a 10k race in 51 min with no practice whatsoever and in lot of pain. Then came a month gap with no running at all. And as if that’s not bad enough gained 5 kgs. aaaah ..
“I need to loose this weigh and get back to what i was and what i’m supposed to be”.. kept ringing in my head by to no end. Kept over-sleeping and a did few 5k’s here and there. But april turned out to be a wake-up call. Read a couple of books, “Natural Born Heroes” by Christopher Mcdougall, a truly intriguing book and “Eat and Run” by Scott Jurek, the Ultra Legend, an epic read-anytime-you-feel-givingup book. Thanks to these two people added sm miles to the month and decided to loose my additional pounds and whatever fat i gained by may end.
Now what better way to do so than to start with a challenge huh !! I almost forgot to mention i started working on my running-form which i believe is wrong as i was landing on my heel a bit. Decided to take my time and build my form. Speed and Distance always follow afterwards i believe. Yeah.. the challenge is to run 70km this week.
4th May – 10th May -> 10 km/day.
and when i said need motivation. A public challenge, in a way keeps me from giving up. That’s exactly what i need right now – peer pressure. Hoping for the best. tata
